Access to the site

The information on the Site is directed solely to residents of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Ownership of the site

All information on the Site, including all trademarks, service marks and trade names, is owned by UIA (Insurance) Ltd and subsidiary companies or its licensors. No licence, assignment or permission is granted by this site to use any such mark or trade name.

Except as expressly provided for below, you may not reproduce, modify or in any way use any of the information on the Site.

You may retrieve and display, print and store the information in electronic form on disk solely for your own personal use.

Product information

The descriptions of products offered by Together Mutual Insurance contained in the Site are for information purposes only, and do not constitute a full description of the terms of those products. Full details of the terms applicable to each of our products are available on request.

Fraud Prevention and Claims History

In order to prevent and detect fraud we may at any time:

  • Share information about you with other organisations and public bodies including the police
  • Check and/or file your details with fraud prevention agencies and databases, and if you give us false or inaccurate information and we suspect fraud, we will record this.

We and other organisations may also search these agencies and databases to:

  • Help make decisions about the provision and administration of insurance, credit and related services for you and members of your household
  • Trace debtors or beneficiaries, recover debt, prevent fraud and to manage your accounts or insurance polices
  • Check your identity to prevent money laundering, unless you furnish us with other satisfactory proof of identity
  • Undertake credit searches and additional fraud searches

We can supply on request further details of the database we access or contribute to.

Claims history  

Under the conditions of your policy you must tell us about any Insurance related incidents (such as fire, water damage, theft or an accident) whether or not they give rise to a claim. When you tell us about an incident we will pass information to CUE (Claims and Underwriting Exchange) where it will be recorded on a national database

We may search these databases when you apply for insurance, in the event of any incident or claim, or at time of renewal to validate your claims history or that of any other person or property likely to be involved in the policy or claim

You are entitled to receive a copy of the information we hold about you for a small fee. If you have any questions or you would like to find out more about this notice you can write to the Data Protection Officer at the address below or telephone 01438 761670.

Exclusions and limitations

We do not give warranties of any kind in respect of the Site or its contents.

We will not be liable for damages arising out of or in connection with the use of the Site or the information in it. This limitation of liability applies to all damages of any kind including (but not exclusively) compensatory, direct or consequential losses caused by or arising from loss of income or profit and loss of or damage to property.

For the avoidance of doubt, liability for death or personal injury resulting from the negligence of Together Mutual Insurance, its directors, employees or agents is not excluded. In addition, nothing in these Conditions of Use seeks to exclude any liability we have under the PRA and FCA Rules.

We give no warranty that the Site and content are free from viruses or anything else that has contaminating or destructive properties.

Alterations

We may from time to time revise the contents of the Site including these Conditions of Use. By using the Site, you agree now to be bound by the Conditions of Use in force at the time you use the Site.

Together Mutual Travel Insurance taken out or renewed before 31st October 2021 is arranged and administered by AllClear Insurance Services Limited. Together Mutual Travel Insurance taken out or renewed on or after 1st November 2021 is arranged and administered by ROCK Insurance Services Limited Company number 04255878. Rock Insurance Services Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No. 300317). 

Rock insurance is underwritten by `Euroins’ AD authorised and regulated by the Bulgarian Financial Supervision Commission. Deemed authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority. Subject to regulation by the Financial Conduct Authority and limited regulation by the Prudential Regulation Authority. Details of the Temporary Permissions Regime, which allows EEA-based firms to operate in the UK for a limited period while seeking full authorisation, are available on the Financial Conduct Authority’s website.   

Offer Terms and Conditions

  • You can purchase home insurance up to 45 days before you need your cover to start.
  • Your quotation is based on the rate charged when you applied. As our prices are updated regularly this quote may be subject to change.
  • Your offer is subject to our usual acceptance and underwriting criteria.
  • If electing to pay by direct debit, the premium will be split over 10 monthly instalments.

 

Recommend a friend – £20 M&S Voucher (1st January 2021 to 31st December 2021)

  • To qualify for a £20 M&S voucher, you as the referrer must be a Together Mutual Home Insurance customer and provide the friend you are recommending with your name, address, policy number and promotional code ‘TogetherMGM’ (you will have received your MGM code from us by email)
  • Your friend must take out their new Home Insurance policy with us over the phone (subject to our usual acceptance and underwriting criteria), clearly stating your name, address and policy number and promotional code ‘TogetherMGM’ (Call centre lines open 9.00am-6.00pm Monday to Friday)
  • There is no limit on how many friends you can recommend
  • If for any reason we are unable to supply you with an M&S voucher, we will send you an alternative voucher to the same value
  • You and your friend will each receive your £20 vouchers 30 days from the date that Together Mutual receives your friend’s full premium or 30 days after their first monthly direct debit is received
  • You will not be eligible for a voucher if your friend cancels their policy before we have received their first payment
  • The vouchers will be sent directly to each of the correspondence addresses supplied
  • This promotion is not valid in conjunction with other Home Insurance promotions
  • We reserve the right to withdraw this offer at any time

 

Recommend a friend – £50 M&S Voucher (1st January 2022 to 31st December 2022)

  • To qualify for a £50 M&S voucher, you as the referrer must be a Together Mutual Home Insurance customer and provide the friend you are recommending with your name, address, policy number and promotional code beginning with ‘MGM’
  • Your friend must take out their new home insurance policy with us over the phone (subject to our usual acceptance and underwriting criteria), from 1st January 2022 clearly stating your name, address, policy number and promotional code beginning with ‘MGM’. (Call centre lines open 9.00am - 6.00pm Monday to Friday)
  • There is no limit on how many friends you can recommend
  • If for any reason we are unable to supply you with an M&S voucher, we will send you an alternative voucher to the same value
  • You will receive a £50 M&S voucher 30 days from the date that we receive your friend’s premium in full or 30 days after their first monthly direct debit is received
  • The vouchers will be sent directly to the correspondence addresses we have on file for you
  • This promotion is not valid in conjunction with other Home Insurance promotions

 

Reimbursement of Switching Fees

  • Should your Mortgage Company or home insurance provider charge you for switching to Together Mutual Insurance, we will reimburse you any reasonable costs up to £50.
  • In order to reimburse you, we will need a copy of any documentation which shows your previous insurer charged you to cancel your policy, this should either be sent to us by post at: Together Mutual Insurance, Kings Court, London Road, Stevenage, Herts SG1 2TP or emailed to us at sales@togetherinsurance.co.uk
  • The documentation must appear on company headed paper and relate to a specific cancellation fee that has been paid in full.
  • You will receive the refund 30 days from the date that Together Mutual Insurance receives your full premium or 30 days after your first monthly direct debit is received.
  • Minimum premiums apply.
  • Offer is subject to our usual acceptance and underwriting criteria.
  • Together Mutual Insurance reserves the right to withdraw the discount given if it is found that inaccurate or incomplete information was knowingly given by the customer when answering questions about the property or their circumstances at the start of the policy.
